Jeremy Kasper is an artist on the move, creating a bold, fresh mark on public and private walls around Gippsland. His latest series of paintings from his upcoming exhibition, The Line Between Us are bold, enigmatic canvases with electric colour and dynamic, abstract forms.

‘This exhibition is an exploration of time, the connection between the natural environment and the synthetic environment.  My work places importance on process and exploration, and the tension between the automatic and the controlled,’

Jeremy and his wife own and operate Kurb Skateboard shop in Sale. Skateboarding has been a passion for the better part of 26 years and a DIY attitude has kept him pushing through new challenges. Since 2014, Jeremy has been creating commissioned street art murals on walls and private residences around Gippsland. The murals give blank walls a vibrant and energetic lease on life. Jeremy was a lead artist on Reclaim Our Lanes Project, which aimed to remove unwanted graffiti and tags, and replace it with works of art.  Reclaim our Lanes created amazing murals in Wellington Shire inspired by local people, their stories and cultural history.

Canadian born, Jeremy trained in classical French cuisine in Canada and qualified as a Red Seal Chef. Jeremy had an extensive, 20-year career as a chef, with his menus and dishes showcasing fresh, seasonal and flamboyant ingredients to create art on a plate. In 2003 Jeremy moved to Australia to open a restaurant, but in 2014, he hung up his apron and decided to change career. He is currently studying the second year of a Bachelor of Visual arts at Federation University Churchill.
