Paper Murrine Bowls | Inspired by the works of Tricia Allen

Tuesday 8th August | 3.45pm - 5.30pm

Wednesday 9th August | 3.45pm - 5.30pm

East Gippsland Art Gallery Creative Kids program presents its eighth workshop for primary school aged children.

Inspired by the work of Tricia Allen, participants will use coloured paper to make small paper murrine’s that will be assembled to create their version of a Tricia Allen glass vessel. Murrine is an Italian technique where layers of molten coloured glass are manipulated to create a long glass rod. The pattern is revealed when the glass is cut like a loaf of bread, creating small tiles that are joined at the edges to create the bowl.
