I lost my impetus at the beginning of the lockdown. I was being confronted daily by my vast collection of found objects, sharing and overwhelming my studio space. I had been collecting these over many years for their beauty and their irresistible-ness... and maybe their usefulness... one day.
It was such a pleasure to start working with these objects. Old pots, wire, wood, metal etc. I found myself totally immersed, with no intention in mind, except the immediate and meditative pleasure of the process in hand.
Now I still have a crammed and very small studio space, but I have given some of my fellow studio inhabitants, time, thought and the light of day.
