2-3pm Friday 13 December 2019 | FREE everyone welcome

Kate Shone and Cat Blamey Wheeler will be talking about their collaborative exhibition, The Big House currently showing at East Gippsland Art Gallery until 18 January.

The Big House is a moving installation about the English Heritage of Kate and Cat’s respective families. One a family of privilege and the other, a family of servitude. The public is invited to join Kate and Cat as they discuss the making of their artworks, traveling the installation to the UK, family secrets, illegitimacy and inherited trauma.

The Big House has recently returned from a successful showing in the UK. Both Kate, a metal smith and Cat, a glass artist are experts in their artistic fields and both have told their stories well.

Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy some afternoon tea
