Rhonda Gray | Loose Company

20 March - 24 April 2026

Special opening event 5.30pm Friday 20 March 2026

All welcome. Free

Rhonda Gray’s Loose Company is a bold and playful series of stylised paintings following an unlikely cast of characters with a taste for late-night adventures and the occasional small vice.

Women deer, hares, parrots, and cats weave a quirky narrative that culminates in three larger paintings depicting a mischievous night out—arriving at a bar, indulging in a few small vices, and eventually being shown the door before regrouping over late-night takeaway.

Surrounding these central scenes are a series of companion paintings that introduce the characters along the way, gradually unfolding the story. As Rhonda says, “It’s a humorous story about companionship, behaviour, and the occasionally feral side of ourselves.”
