"When I looked at this wood, I saw a map of Gippsland, with the Gathering Place at the centre, and the story came to me. The tracks in the grain of the wood are the timeline, telling you how old the tree was. The tracks of the wood grain are like the footprints on the earth left by the Gunaikurnai Ancestors, which will be left there forever." - Colin Thomas 2025
