East Gippsland Art Gallery is seeking a vibrant, creative, and highly motivated individual to lead our newly developed Youth Arts Education Program. We’re looking for an experienced educator who combines a deep understanding of young people with a passion for fostering their artistic growth. The successful candidate will teach core visual arts skills while creating an engaging, inclusive environment that celebrates curiosity, experimentation, and creative confidence.

This role involves coordinating a dynamic program featuring guest artists and specialist tutors. We’re seeking someone who is genuinely inspired by working with young people — someone who can see and nurture their potential, champion their voices, and bring energy, vision, and heart to this exciting new program.


ACTIVITIES IN THE ROLE INCLUDE


• Lead and coordinate the newly developed Youth Arts Education Program.

• Teach core visual arts skills in a variety of disciplines.

• Create a fun, welcoming, and inclusive studio environment for young artists.

• Manage the Studio space independently.

• Recruit and support inspiring guest tutors and creative mentors.

• Manage budgets, administration, and reporting.

• Follow safe work practices, procedures, instructions, and rules.

• Work closely with the East Gippsland Art Gallery Director and Gallery staff to develop and deliver program plans.
